Symphony Spotlight

Symphony Spotlight

For our Symphony Spotlight Online programs, click here.

Symphony Spotlight will captivate your students as they take a unique musical journey designed to stimulate their interest in music and motivate them to participate as future performers and audience members.

This 45-minute assembly program features every instrument of the orchestra (flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, French horn, trumpet, trombone, percussion, two violins, viola, cello, and bass). Thirteen professional musicians, most members of the Colorado Symphony, perform music showcasing each instrument, while focusing on the various sections of the orchestra – winds, brass, percussion, and strings.

In addition to familiar classics by history’s greatest composers, such as the William Tell Overture and Beethoven’s 5th Symphony, the program also includes works from Star Wars, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, and The Wizard of Oz, reminding students of the importance music plays in our everyday lives.  Click here for a playlist
